- Create a Resume & list of References – Print on simple specialty paper (include Certifications & Licenses)
- Create a LinkedIn Profile – Complete entirely & use a professional picture
- Create a Job Search Log – Complete after each job application or resume submitted
- Prepare Cover Letters – Customize for each job
- Interview Preparation – Rehearse Strengths & Weaknesses Responses, What to Wear, Questions to Ask, Thank You Letter, etc.
- Browse VolunteerMatch.org & join a cause of interest – Include volunteer experience on your Resume (just because you don’t get paid, doesn’t mean you don’t have experience)
- Attend/JoinEvents – Job Clubs, Job Fairs, FB Groups, etc.
- Resources – Career Link, WIB, Cal Jobs
- Think Outside the Box – Business Card Resume, Job Proposals, Video Resume, etc.
